Imogen Cunningham - False Hellebore

 

False Hellebore - Imogen Cunningham, 1926

Imogen Cunningham is a photographer known for her botanical images, and for taking pictures of nude models and landscapes. False Hellebore, one of her botanical pieces, interested me due to the way that the plant creates a humanoid shape within its leaves. The shadow laid on said leaves gives it even more of a defining humanoid shape, almost looking angelic in nature. I believe this is a great image for inspirational use, as photographers could look for similar photographic opportunities during their shoots.
