Paolo Roversi

A photograph and a commissioned art piece are similar in the fact that basically anything can be displayed with the medium. However, a photograph is quite simpler to take in the fact that it can be done anywhere at any time and with relatively no cost, unlike a painted portrait, which would take a long period of time to complete. Commissioning the photographer in the place of hiring a painter would be easier to set up, as well as faster to complete, as it takes less than a couple of seconds to create a photograph, while the painter would be completing his work for a long time. The first image located on the website below, appears to be the most successful picture of the Duchess, as it shows off her pretty dress, while also creating a lovely portrait shot of just her against a plain background, almost as if it was painted onto a canvas.
